      DIY Face Masks for Different Skin Troubles

      Face masks are all the rage nowadays but can be pricey. Thankfully, there’s no need to cash out on an expensive face mask at the store when you could make your own face masks with the ingredients in your kitchen for free! Check out these simple do it yourself face masks that’ll help any skin trouble you have:

       

      Acne

      Turmeric Face Mask

      What You’ll Need: Turmeric and Plain Greek Yogurt

      Directions:

      • Take a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt and a pinch of turmeric and mix it together
      • Apply to your face and leave it on for about 15 minutes
      • Wash it off with warm water
      • Turmeric can stain the skin to a yellowish color so it’s best to apply at night
      • If staining does occur, use an oil based cleanser to remove the stains

      Extra Ingredients to Add (Optional): Cinnamon, Milk, Apple Cider Vinegar, Avocado, Honey, Strawberry, Oatmeal

       

      Aging

      Lavender Face Mask

      What You’ll Need: Lavender Oil, Honey and Plain Greek Yogurt

      Directions:

      • Warm up the lavender oil to help with absorption
      • Once you’re done, combine a few drops of lavender oil, 1 tablespoon of honey and a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt and mix it all together
      • Leave it on for 15 minutes then wash it off with warm water

      Extra Ingredients to Add (Optional): Apple, Matcha, Banana, Oatmeal, Cucumber

       

      Dullness

      Papaya Face Mask

      What You’ll Need: Papaya and Plain Greek Yogurt

      Directions:

      • Mash up a piece of papaya fruit until it has a creamy texture
      • Mix the papaya with a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt and apply to the face
      • Leave on for 20 minutes and then wash it off with warm water

      Extra Ingredients to Add (Optional): Turmeric, Mango, Aloe Vera, Banana, Milk, Oatmeal, Kiwi

       

      Dryness

      Banana Face Mask

      What You’ll Need: Banana, Honey and Aloe Vera

      Directions:

      • Cut up a few pieces of banana and mash it together until it turns into a creamy texture
      • Mix the banana with ½ tablespoon of aloe vera and ½ tablespoon of honey and apply to face
      • Leave on for 25 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water

      Extra Ingredients to Add (Optional): Oatmeal, Plain Greek Yogurt, Avocado, Milk, Cucumber

       

      Sensitive

      Cucumber Face Mask

      What You’ll Need: Cucumber, Honey and Plain Greek Yogurt

      Directions:

      • Cut 2 slices of cucumber into tiny pieces
      • Mix the cucumber, ½ tablespoon of honey and a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt and apply to the face
      • Leave on for 25 minutes then wash off with cold water

      Extra Ingredients to Add (Optional): Avocado, Oatmeal, Carrot, Banana, Milk, Aloe Vera, Pumpkin

       

      Oily

      Tomato Face Mask

      What You’ll Need: Tomato, Cinnamon and Honey

      Directions:

      • Cut up a few slices of tomato and mash it up
      • Mix the tomato, a pinch of cinnamon and 1 tablespoon honey together and apply to the face
      • Leave it on for 15 minutes then wash it off with warm water

      Extra Ingredients to Add (Optional): Lemon, Strawberry, Apple, Apple Cider Vinegar, Orange

       

      Uneven Skin Tone

      Lemon Face Mask

      What You’ll Need: Lemon, Turmeric and Plain Greek Yogurt

      Directions:

      • Squeeze out a couple of drops of lemon juice from a lemon
      • Mix the lemon juice with a pinch of turmeric and a spoonful of plain Greek Yogurt
      • Apply to the face and leave on for 20 minutes
      • Wash off with lukewarm water

      Extra Ingredients to Add (Optional): Aloe Vera, Tomato, Papaya, Milk, Sugar, Oatmeal

       

      Damaged

      Egg Face Mask

      What You’ll Need: Egg, Honey and Aloe Vera

      Directions:

      • Separate the egg yolk from the egg white and throw away the egg yolk
      • Mix the egg white, 1 tablespoon of honey and ½ tablespoon of aloe vera
      • Apply to the face and leave on for 25 minutes
      • Wash off with cold water

      Extra Ingredients to Add (Optional): Strawberry, Cucumber, Oatmeal, Plain Greek Yogurt, Avocado
